Hundreds of brokerage boats and new boat specials - all ready to be launched for the summer boating season - will be displayed and for sale at the 34rd Annual, in-water Newport Spring Boat Show. Scheduled for May 16th to 18th at Newport Yachting Center in Newport, Rhode Island, the show is in its seventh year of association with the Yacht Brokers Association of America (YBAA).

Last year, over 50 YBAA members and a similar number of boat dealers exhibited nearly 200 boats with a total of 300 exhibits in the water, on land and under tents. All kinds of boats - from kayaks to express cruising yachts - plus equipment, services and accessories are shown. More importantly, this is a show that boats are sold and deals are made!

Upgraded in-water facilities - at the Newport Yachting Center Marina also site of the famous Newport International Boat Show - have been made more complimentary to the yachts exhibited. A beautified land area around the docks make the Show even more enjoyable for the thousands who attend.

While the Newport Spring Boat Show attracts hundreds of 35 - 65 ft. power yachts and sailboats to its in-water display area, a similar number of 16 - 35 ft. boats are shown on land. Many are previously owned boats and yachts offered by brokers, some are new "season specials" that dealers are looking to move as the season begins. Plus, personal watercraft are seen all over the show, together with all kinds of boating equipment, services and accessories. The variety of boats shown gives every boat owner the opportunity to trade up to a bigger boat or get the novice into a boat he or she can enjoy this year.

During the weekend there will be children's activities to make the show an event the whole family can enjoy. In addition, a daily series of boating seminars will be held to help answer many of the questions people have at the start of the season.

Ticket prices are $10.00 for the day on Saturday and Sunday and $15.00 on Friday's Preview Day when $5.00 of the ticket price will be donated to the Show's charitable partner, Bassmaster CastingKids Scholarship Fund.  Advance Discount Tickets for Friday - Sunday are available online thru Sunday May 18th.  More information is also available by contacting Newport Exhibition Group at 401-846-1115.
